EMPHASIS: Captain Ellis Announces Promotion Of Corporal Christopher K. Shannon


Captain Vincent J. Ellis, commanding officer, Troop A, announces effective February 1, 2008, the promotion of Trooper Christopher K. Shannon to corporal. Corporal Shannon will be the assistant zone supervisor assigned to Zone 10, Saline County.
Cpl. Shannon joined the Patrol as a member of the 75th Recruit Class graduating in August 1998. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, he was assigned to Troop H, Zone 6, Andrew and Buchanan counties. Cpl. Shannon transferred to Troop A in July 2001 and was assigned to Zone 4, Clay County.
Cpl. Shannon was born in Smithville, Missouri. He graduated from Liberty High School in Liberty, Missouri, in 1988. Cpl. Shannon graduated from ITT Technical Institute in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1989. He received a technical degree from ITT. Cpl. Shannon worked for the Clay County Sheriffs Department before joining the Highway Patrol.
Cpl. Shannon is married to Lisa Masonbrink, formerly of Liberty, Missouri. Cpl. Shannon has two daughters: Makenzie, 11, and Makayla, 8.
