EMPHASIS: New Troopers Assigned To Troop I


Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the assignment of three new troopers to Troop I.
The newly assigned troopers were members of the 96th Recruit Class, which began training on January 16, 2013, at the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, and graduated on July 12, 2013. The troopers will report to duty at Troop I Headquarters in Rolla, on July 29, 2013, and will continue their training under the guidance of their field training officers.
Trooper John I. Cobb III has been assigned to Zone 1, which patrols Phelps and Eastern Maries counties. Tpr. Cobb is a native of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and is a 2004 graduate of Blue Spring South High School. Tpr. Cobb holds an associate's degree in criminal justice from Fort Scott Community College in Ft. Scott, Kansas; and graduated with a bachelor's of science degree in criminal justice from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, in 2009. Tpr. Cobb is married to Jill (Cowen) Cobb. His field training officer will be Corporal Shawn Altermatt.
Trooper Joshua L. Dunmire has been assigned to Zone 9, which serves Crawford County. Tpr. Dunmire is a native of Eldon, Missouri, and a 2006 graduate of Eldon High School. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Dunmire served in the United States Marine Corps, where he obtained the rank of corporal. Tpr. Dunmire is married to Lacey (Green) Dunmire and they have a son, Owen. Tpr. Dunmire’s field training officer will be Trooper Joseph T. Peart.
Trooper Tyler G. Zimmerman has been assigned to Zone 8, which serves Laclede County. Tpr. Zimmerman is a native of Lebanon, Missouri, and a 2010 graduate of Lebanon High School. Tpr. Zimmermann is also a 2012 graduate of Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri, where he earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice. Tpr. Zimmerman’s field training officer will be Trooper Jason P. Millsap.
