EMPHASIS: Troop F Officer Promotion

Captain Gregory D. Kindle, commanding officer, Troop F, Missouri State Highway Patrol, announced that Corporal Scott M. Lance will be promoted to the rank of sergeant effective April 1, 2014. He will be assigned as the assistant zone supervisor, Zone 2, Cole/Callaway counties.
Lance is a 1997 graduate of Savannah High School. In 2001, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in wildlife ecology and conservation from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO.
Lance became a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol on January 1, 2011, after the merger with the Missouri State Water Patrol. He was assigned to Zone 16, Lake of the Ozarks, as a marine operations trooper. Sergeant Lance and his wife have one child.
In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket.
