EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Results Of DWI Saturation


Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the results of a DWI saturation patrol conducted from 7 p.m., on March 16, 2012, until 3 a.m., March 17, 2012, in Phelps County. During the operation, the five assigned troopers placed a special emphasis on patrolling those highways where in the past a higher number of impaired drivers were either involved in a traffic crash or arrested for DWI.
During the enforcement operation troopers stopped 59 vehicles, which resulted in the following enforcement totals:
DWI: 3
Speed: 7
Seat Belt Violations: 15
Uninsured Motorists: 4
Hazardous Moving Violation: 1
Misdemeanor Warrant Arrests: 5
Felony Warrant Arrests: 2
Warnings Issued: 80

Captain Kenley stated, “If you see what appears to be an impaired driver on a Missouri highway, or you need to report an emergency, please dial the Patrol’s emergency hotline, 1-800-525-5555 or * 55 on your cellular phone.”
