EMPHASIS: Troop C Announces Click It Or Ticket Effort

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces a “Click It or Ticket” enforcement effort on May 23 through June 5, 2011. Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be conducting the “Click It or Ticket” campaign in all 11 counties of Troop C.

The Patrol will continue its zero tolerance policy for seat belt use throughout this operation to raise seat belt awareness and compliance. The enforcement operation is part of a national campaign, in conjunction with the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety and other law enforcement agencies to aggressively pursue safety belt enforcement.

"Failure to wear your safety belt can be deadly," said Capt. Johnson. "Once you're in your car it only takes three seconds to buckle up. So please, obey the law and stay safe.”
