EMPHASIS: Results Of Hazardous Moving Operation


Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces the results of a special traffic enforcement operation. The hazardous moving operation was conducted on March 11, 2008, in Buchanan County. The program is designed to target drivers that are operating motor vehicles in a hazardous manner.
A total of 10 troopers were assigned to the four-hour operation. Troopers stopped a total of 45 vehicles and issued 36 summonses and 56 warnings, and made three criminal arrests. The following is a breakdown of the arrests:
Speeding 18
Failed To Yield 2
Seat Belt 4
Commercial Vehicle Arrest 3
Hazardous Moving 2
Non-moving 4
No Driver’s License 2
Uninsured Motorist 1
Misdemeanor Drugs 2
Misdemeanor Warrants 1
