EMPHASIS: Troop E Announces Hazardous Moving Operation And DWI Checkpoint

Captain George E. Ridens, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, announces that sometime during the months of November and December 2012, Troop E officers will conduct a sobriety checkpoint and a hazardous moving vehicle operation. The sobriety checkpoint will be in Butler County, and the hazardous moving vehicle operation will be held throughout the Troop E area. The operation will be conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies.

The checkpoint is a static operation on a specific highway that is designed to check every driver to ensure they are sober. The hazardous moving operation is designed to target vehicles that are being operated in a hazardous manner.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves from all types of hazardous drivers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Click It 4 Life!
