EMPHASIS: Results Of Wolfpack Operation Conducted In Buchanan County

Captain James E. McDonald, commanding officer Troop H, announces the results of a Wolfpack Operation in Buchanan County. The operation was held from 10 p.m. on August 15, 2014, until 2 a.m. on August 16, 2014. During this enforcement operation, four officers patrolled specific areas with the goal of detecting impaired drivers and other traffic violations that contribute to traffic crashes. As a result of this operation, officers made five arrests for traffic violations, one driving while intoxicated arrest, two misdemeanor drug arrests, and one misdemeanor warrant arrest.

“Removing intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways, along with strict enforcement of traffic laws plays a key role in reducing traffic crashes and saving lives,” stated Captain McDonald. “Please remember: If your plans include alcohol, always designate a sober driver.”

In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
