Troop D Announces Results Of Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) SAFETE Operations
Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, announces the results of two Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) SAFETE operations in Greene and Jasper counties on January 27, 2017. Totals from these operations include:
During the operation in Greene County, troopers stopped 10 commercial vehicles and six passenger vehicles. Additionally, troopers conducted nine commercial vehicle inspections which resulted in one driver being placed out-of-service. The following is a list of enforcement contacts made during the operation.
Seat Belt Violations -- 5
Non-Moving Violation -- 1
Misdemeanor Warrant Arrests -- 3
Misdemeanor Drug Arrest -- 1
Troopers also issued 33 warnings for various other offenses during this operation.
During the operation in Jasper County, troopers stopped 12 commercial vehicles and five passenger vehicles. Additionally, troopers conducted 12 commercial vehicle inspections which resulted in three vehicles being placed out-of-service. The following is a list of enforcement contacts made during the operation.

Troopers also issued 23 warnings for various other offenses during this operation.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
