EMPHASIS: Colonel Replogle Announces Promotions

Colonel Ron Replogle announces the following promotions effective March 1, 2010:

Lieutenant Malik A. Henderson is being promoted to the rank of captain and designated director of the Motor Vehicle Inspection Division at General Headquarters, Jefferson City, MO. Henderson is a 21-year veteran with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Henderson was appointed to the Patrol on July 3, 1988, as a member of the 60th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, Henderson was assigned to Troop E, Zone 10, Dunklin County. In May 1990, he transferred to Troop C, St. Louis. He was promoted to corporal in September 1995, and assigned to Zone 1, St. Louis County. Henderson was promoted to sergeant in October 1999, and designated zone supervisor of Zone 2, St. Louis County. In January 2007, he was promoted to lieutenant and supervised District 2 operations for Troop C.

Henderson was born in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from O’Fallon Tech High School in St. Louis, in 1981. He attended Alcorn State University in Lorman, MS. Captain Henderson and his wife, Renee D. (Parson), have two sons: Rasheed and Mehki.

Lieutenant Kyle D. Marquart is being promoted to the rank of captain and designated director of the Drug and Crime Control Division at General Headquarters, Jefferson City, MO. Marquart is a 24-year veteran of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Marquart was appointed to the Patrol on September 9, 1985, as a member of the 57th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, Marquart was assigned to Troop A, Zone 13, Saline County. In 1988, he transferred to Zone 1, Jackson County. He was promoted to corporal in 1993, and designated supervisor of Troop A’s Drug Interdiction Unit. In 1994, Marquart was promoted to sergeant and designated zone commander of Troop A, Zone 4, Clay County. He transferred to Zone 6, Jackson County, as zone commander, in 1995. In 1996, he was assigned to the Division of Drug and Crime Control, General Headquarters, as a criminal investigator. Marquart was promoted to lieutenant and designated assistant director of the Division of Drug and Crime Control in 1999.

Marquart was born in Washington, MO. He graduated from St. Francis Borgia High School in 1981. He earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in business administration from Benedictine College in Atchison, KS, in 1985. Captain Marquart and his wife, Leslee, have three children: Lazarus, Leann, and Preston.
