EMPHASIS: National Missing Children's Day Poster Contest

The Missouri State Highway Patrol announces the kickoff of the National Missing Children's Day Poster Contest to begin on September 20, 2010. All poster entries must be received no later than March 4, 2011. Fifth grade students from throughout Missouri are encouraged to participate in the contest. The theme is "Bring Our Missing Children Home". The first place winner from Missouri will then be entered into the national contest. The winner of the national contest will be recognized in Washington, D.C., at the annual Missing Children's Day ceremony in May 2011.

"The National Missing Children's Day Poster Contest provides a catalyst for discussion on a very serious topic,” said Col. Replogle. "I hope that fifth grade teachers will encourage their students to take part in this contest, as well as talk about situations that can result in a missing person."
