EMPHASIS: Cattle Theft Training for Law Enforcement Officers





Captain Ron Replogle, Director of the Division of Drug and Crime Control announces, on April 20, 2006 at 10:00 am the Governor’s Cattle Theft Task Force will be hosting a training seminar for Law Enforcement Officers at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri.



This seminar will provide information to at least 100 police officers about the cattle industry, current trends, active Missouri investigations, MIAC Intelligence Center and useful tactics in the identification and recovery of stolen livestock and those responsible for the thefts. The key note speaker for this seminar is Investigator Joe Rector from the Texas and Southwest Cattle Raisers Association. Rector is a former career Law Enforcement Officer from Oklahoma.



This training is being sponsored by the Governor’s Cattle Theft Task force which consists of the Missouri Department of Public Safety, Missouri Department of Agriculture, Missouri Sheriff’s Association, Missouri State Water Patrol, Missouri Cattlemen’s Association, Missouri Farm Bureau and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
