EMPHASIS: Patrol Announces Promotion



Colonel James F. Keathley, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the following promotion effective August 1, 2008:

Mr. William E. Marbaker III has been promoted to the position of director of the Patrol’s Crime Laboratory Division. Marbaker joined the Patrol on July 1, 1978, as a forensic chemist. He was promoted to criminalist supervisor on March 1, 1995. He was named assistant director of the Crime Laboratory Division on June 16, 2001. In 2006-2007, Marbaker served as president of the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors (ASCLD).

Marbaker was born in St. Louis, MO. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO, in 1978. Mr. Marbaker and his wife, Jane, have two children: Erin and Andrew. They reside in Jefferson City, MO.
