EMPHASIS: Missouri, Kansas Host 2006 Uniformed Safety Education Officers Workshop

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Kansas Highway Patrol are proud to serve as hosts to the 39th Annual Uniformed Safety Education Officers Workshop (USEOW). This event will be held June 11 to June 15, 2006, at the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City, KS. Safety education officers from 16 states will meet to share programs, public service announcements, and share information. Those in attendance will vote for the best programs and public service announcements presented at USEOW. Awards will be announced at a closing banquet. The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Sgt. John J. Hotz, Troop A, will present a program he developed for young drivers at this year’s workshop.

“USEOW is an important workshop and networking opportunity for safety education officers,” said Colonel Roger D. Stottlemyre, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. “Finding new ways to bring important safety messages to the public is part of the Patrol’s mission of service and protection. We’re honored to co-host with the Kansas Highway Patrol the 39th workshop of this kind. I extend a warm welcome to those attending the workshop, and wish the best of luck to those who plan to present a program or public service announcement.”
