EMPHASIS: Chief Motor Vehicle Inspector Retires.







Captain G.E. Ridens, Commanding Officer, Troop E, announces the retirement of Chief Motor Vehicle Inspector Keith E. Woodruff.



Chief Woodruff began his career with the Patrol on May 1, 1977, in the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division assigned to the scale truck in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, while waiting assignment to the newly constructed scales near Charleston, Missouri. On December 1, 1978, he was reclassified to Motor Vehicle Inspector II and promoted to Inspector III on May 1, 1992. On September 1, 1993, he was promoted to Motor Vehicle Supervisor and on June 1, 2002 was promoted to Chief Inspector.



Inspector Woodruff was born in Kennett, Missouri. He graduated from Kennett High School in 1972. He attended Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, receiving an Associate of Applied Science Degree in 1975. Inspector Woodruff is a P.O.S.T. Certified Instructor and has taught Motor Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle Identification Number/Salvage and Auto Theft related classes at the Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City.



Inspector Woodruff and his wife, Elaine, have one daughter.
