EMPHASIS:
Jasper County Residents Arrested On Drug Charges
On October 4, 2016, at approximately 6 a.m., members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Ozark Drug Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at 411 South Highland, Purcell, Missouri, as a result of a narcotics investigation. During the execution of the search warrant, officers seized four cultivated marijuana plants, three-quarters of an ounce of methamphetamine, weapons, $14,922.00 cash, and drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation, Christopher D. Thompson, 32, of Purcell, Missouri, was arrested for felony manufacturing of a controlled substance (marijuana). He is being held at the Jasper County Jail on a $40,000 bond. Daryl B. Weston, 34, and Kristina L. Buck, 37, both of Purcell, Missouri, were arrested for felony manufacturing of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute. They are being held at the Jasper County Jail on $50,000 bond each.
The charges for which the above individuals were arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
