EMPHASIS:
Results of Sobriety Checkpoint Conducted In Dekalb County
Captain James E. McDonald, commanding officer Troop H, St. Joseph, announces the results of a sobriety checkpoint in Dekalb County. The checkpoint was held from 10 p.m. on June 18, 2016, to 2 a.m. on June 19, 2016. As a result of this operation officers made four arrests for driving while intoxicated, issued five citations, and eight warnings.
“Removing impaired drivers from Missouri roadways is one of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s top priorities,” states Captain McDonald. “If you choose to drink and drive, you will be arrested and you will go to jail. If your plans include alcohol, always have a sober designated driver."
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri's roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
"Don't Violate The Trust."
