EMPHASIS: Randolph County Commissioner Arrested








Captain R. K. Replogle, Director of the Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC), announces on November 17, 2005 at approximately 0800 hours as a result of a 9-month investigation by the Troop-B Criminal Investigation Unit, the arrest of Lowell C. “Chuck” Bankhead, age 33 of Higbee, Missouri. Bankhead is the current Western District Commissioner of Randolph County, and this investigation is stemming from allegations of stealing, while he worked as the Treasurer of the Higbee Community Betterment Association and as a local Cub Scout Leader.





Bankhead was arrested and charged with 2 Counts of Felony Stealing over $500 and less than $25,000 which is a Class C Felony, and Failure to File Campaign Finance Disclosure Report Purposely, which is a Class A Misdemeanor. Bankhead was arrested and posted a $10,000 Bond at the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.





This case is being prosecuted by the Missouri Attorney General’s Office and the above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
