EMPHASIS: New Troopers Assigned To Troop E



Captain George E. Ridens, commanding officer of Troop E, announces the assignments of four news troopers to Troop E. These officers began training at the Highway Patrol Academy on January 7, 2008, and graduated on July 11, 2008, after receiving comprehensive training covering all facets of law enforcement.
Trooper Travis Templemire will be assigned to Zone 11, which patrols Stoddard County. His training officer will be Corporal Jay A. Parsley. Tpr. Templemire is a graduate of Twin Rivers High School in Broseley, Missouri, and Black River Tech in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, where he received a certification in fire science. He is married to the former Cassie McIntyre, and they have one daughter, Macie, 2.
Trooper Levis E. Rawson will be assigned to Zone 11. His training officer will be Trooper Richard D. Owens. Tpr. Rawson is a graduate of Dexter High School, and he also attended Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.
Trooper Christopher D. Hamlett will be assigned to Zone 7, which patrols Scott, Mississippi, and New Madrid counties. His training officer will be Trooper David W. Crank. Tpr. Hamlett is a graduate of Kennett High School, and Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in communication studies.
Trooper Steven M. Spain will be assigned to Zone 6, which patrols Scott, Mississippi, and New Madrid counties. His training officer will be Sergeant Joseph M. Weadon. Tpr. Spain is a graduate of Holcomb High School and attended Crowley’s Ridge College in Paragould, Arkansas. Tpr. Spain is married to the former Sarah Lemonds. Tpr. Spain has served in the United Stated Air Force, and continues to serve as a member of the United States Air Force Reserves.
