Lieutenant Jason J. Cluver - Transfer; Sergeant Casey E. Utterback - Promoted
Captain Corey J. Schoeneberg, commanding officer of Troop F, announces the following transfer and promotion effective April 1, 2021.
Lieutenant Jason J. Cluver will transfer from the Professional Standards Division at General Headquarters to Troop F, Jefferson City, MO.
Cluver joined the Patrol on February 1, 1998, as a member of the 75th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop E, Zone 13, Madison & Iron counties. In 2003, he transferred to Troop F, Zone 1, Cole & Callaway counties. Cluver was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop F, Zone 7, Cooper & Howard counties, on November 13, 2005. He transferred to Zone 12, Gasconade & Osage counties on February 5, 2006. On March 1, 2008, he transferred to Zone 1, Cole & Callaway counties. Cluver was promoted to sergeant on July 1, 2011, and assigned to Zone 9, Montgomery County. On December 1, 2017, Cluver was promoted to lieutenant and assigned to the Professional Standards Division at General Headquarters in Jefferson City.
Lieutenant Cluver grew up in Decatur, IL. He graduated from Warrensburg-Latham High School in Warrensburg, IL. Cluver earned a Bachelor of Science in law enforcement and justice administration from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL, in 1997. He completed Leadership in Police Organizations in 2017. Lt. Cluver and his wife have three children.
Sergeant Casey E. Utterback is being promoted to lieutenant and will transfer to Troop F in Jefferson City, MO.
Utterback joined the Patrol on October 20, 2002, as a member of the 80th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop A, Zone 7, Jackson County. On August 1, 2009, Utterback was promoted to corporal and transferred to Zone 6, Jackson County. On January 1, 2014, Utterback was promoted to sergeant and transferred to Zone 9, Lafayette County.
Lieutenant Utterback grew up in New Franklin, MO. In 1996, he graduated from New Franklin High School in New Franklin, MO. Utterback attended Moberly Area Community College as well as Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO. He completed Leadership in Police Organizations training in 2018. Lt. Utterback and his wife have two children.
