EMPHASIS: Captain Ron L. Walker Retires September 1, 2013

Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the following retirement:

Captain Ron L. Walker, assistant commander, Field Operations Bureau, General Headquarters, will retire effective September 1, 2013, after 35 years of dedicated service to the citizens of this state.

Walker entered the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy as a member of the 47th Recruit Class on June 1, 1978. After graduating from the Academy, he was assigned to Troop A, Zone 11, Henry County. He was promoted to corporal on September 1, 1989, and designated assistant zone supervisor of Zone 11, Benton County. He was promoted to sergeant and designated zone supervisor of Zone 11, Benton County, on September 1, 1992. Walker transferred to the Professional Standards Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, on November 1, 1997. He was promoted to lieutenant on July 1, 1998. On August 1, 2001, Walker was promoted to captain and designated assistant commander of the Field Operations Bureau, General Headquarters, Jefferson City.


Capt. Walker was born in Waynesville, MO. He graduated from Jefferson City High School in Jefferson City, in 1974. Capt. Walker and his wife, Wanda, have a daughter, Tiffany.
