EMPHASIS: August 1 Promotion



Colonel Roger D. Stottlemyre, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the following promotion effective August 1, 2006



Lieutenant J. Timothy Hull will be promoted to the rank of captain and designated division director of the Public Information and Education Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, MO. Lt. Hull replaces Captain C.T. Ricks, who retires August 1, 2006.



Captain Hull is a 23-year veteran of the Patrol. After graduating from the Law Enforcement Academy in 1983, he was assigned initially to Troop F, Montgomery and Gasconade counties. In 1990, Hull was promoted to corporal and transferred to Camden and Miller counties as the assistant zone commander. In 1992, he transferred to Troop F Headquarters to become the troop’s public information and education officer. Hull was promoted to sergeant in 1995, and remained PIEO. In 2000, he was promoted to lieutenant and assigned to General Headquarters, where he served as the assistant director of the Public Information and Education Division.



Captain Hull was born in Versailles, MO. He graduated from Morgan County RII High School in 1977. In 1981, he graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO. Captain Hull and his wife, Ladonne, have three children: Adrienne, Paige, and Jordan.
