EMPHASIS: August 1 Promotion



Colonel Roger D. Stottlemyre, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the following promotion effective August 1, 2006



Lieutenant Randall S. Beydler will be promoted to the rank of captain and designated commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, MO.



Captain Beydler is a 31-year veteran of the Patrol. After graduating from the Law Enforcement Academy in 1974, he was assigned initially to Troop A, Platte City. In 1984, Beydler was promoted to corporal and assigned to Johnson County as the assistant zone commander. He earned the rank of sergeant in 1989, and was assigned to Jackson County where he was designated zone sergeant. In 1993, Beydler was promoted to lieutenant and assigned to Troop H, St. Joseph, MO.



Captain Beydler was born in El Dorado Springs, MO. He graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1966. In 1970, he graduated with a bachelor’s of arts in business administration with a minor in mathematics from Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, MO, Captain Beydler and his wife, Deborah (Gill), have two children: Nicholas and Kristi.
