EMPHASIS: Wilt Named Commander Of Troop B, Macon


Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the following promotion effective April 1, 2010:

Lieutenant James E. Wilt is being promoted to the rank of captain and designated commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, MO.

Wilt was appointed to the Patrol on August 1, 1986, as a member of the 58th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, MO, he was assigned to Troop B, Zone 9, Hannibal. In 1990, he transferred to Zone 8, Hannibal. In 1994, Wilt was promoted to corporal, and designated assistant zone commander of Zone 9. Wilt was promoted to sergeant in 1996, and designated zone commander of Zone 11, Moberly. In 1999 he was promoted to lieutenant and assigned to Troop H, St. Joseph. He transferred to Troop B, Macon, in 2004.

Captain Wilt was born in Hannibal. He graduated from South Shelby High School in Shelbina, MO. Wilt earned an associate’s of arts degree from Moberly Area Community College in 1985. He also attended the FBI National Academy, graduating in 2005. Captain Wilt and his wife, Dena A. (Morrow), have three children: Paige Klocke, Hallie Wilt, and Carlee Wilt.
