EMPHASIS: Colonel Ron Replogle Assumes Command As Patrol Superintendent

Colonel Ron Replogle was sworn in today, March 1, 2010, as Missouri State Highway Patrol superintendent by the Honorable Mary Rhodes Russell, Missouri Supreme Court. Gov. Jay Nixon appointed Replogle as superintendent on February 8, 2010, following Col. James F. Keathley’s announcement that he was retiring after 33 years with the Patrol. The Missouri Senate confirmed Replogle’s appointment on February 18. As the Patrol’s 21st superintendent, Replogle is responsible for guiding the MSHP’s 2,200 employees in their mission of serving and protecting the people of Missouri.

Replogle is a 26-year veteran of the Patrol. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in 1984, he was initially assigned to Troop D, Zone 7, Neosho, MO. In 1988, he transferred to Zone 1, Greene County. Replogle was promoted to corporal in 1990. As a corporal, he served as assistant zone commander of Zone 4, Taney and Stone counties; Zone 12, Christian County; and Zone 2, Greene County. Replogle was promoted to sergeant in 1992, and designated zone commander of Zone 10, Marshfield, MO. He transferred to the Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Troop D Unit in 1994. In 1996, he was promoted to lieutenant and assigned to the Professional Standards Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City. In October 1999, he transferred to the Division of Drug and Crime Control, General Headquarters, and was designated the assistant director of that division. Replogle was promoted to captain in 2001, and designated director of the Division of Drug and Crime Control. In 2006, Replogle was promoted to the rank of major and designated commander of the Criminal Investigative Bureau.

Colonel Replogle was born in Marshfield. He graduated from Marshfield High School in 1978. He attended the University of Missouri-Rolla from 1978 to 1980. In 1999, he graduated from the Northwestern University Traffic Institute Police Staff and Command School. Colonel Replogle and his wife, Cindy, have two grown children: Chase and Adam. Chase Replogle and his wife, Ashley, reside in Springfield, MO, where Chase is working on his master’s degree in theology at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. Adam Replogle is a full-time student at Missouri State University, Springfield. Cindy Replogle is a sales representative with Modern Litho Print Company in Jefferson City. Colonel and Mrs. Replogle reside in Jefferson City. (###)
