EMPHASIS:
Results Of DWI Saturations Conducted In Chariton, Lewis, And Randolph Counties
Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the results of DWI saturations conducted in Chariton, Lewis, and Randolph counties. The saturations were conducted from 11 p.m. on June 11, 2016, to 3 a.m. on June 12, 2016. During the enforcement operations, officers patrolled specific areas with a goal of detecting impaired drivers and other traffic violations that contribute to traffic crashes. As a result of the operations, officers made one arrest for driving while intoxicated, two misdemeanor criminal arrests, and issued three traffic citations and 28 warnings. The following is a list of traffic citations issued:
1 ─ Citation was issued for exceeding the speed limit.
1 ─ Citation was issued for a hazardous moving violation.
1 ─ Citation was issued for a driver’s license violation.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
