Promotion Of Trooper Brad D. Ritter
Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the following promotion effective March 1, 2017.
Trooper Brad D. Ritter was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 1, Macon and Shelby counties. Ritter was appointed to the Patrol on January 7, 2007, and after graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop H, Zone 2, Nodaway and Worth counties. On October 1, 2009, he transferred to Troop B, Zone 9, Marion and Ralls counties. On March 1, 2013, he transferred from Zone 9, to Zone 2, Macon and Shelby counties. He is a native of Monroe City, Missouri, and graduated from Monroe City High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri. He is married to Deidre (Keithley) Ritter and they have two children: Hagan and Lawsyn.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
