EMPHASIS: Retired Lt. Colonel William K. Seibert Jr. Honored


Colonel James F. Keathley, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol informs the public of the following:


In honor of retired Lt. Colonel William K. Seibert Jr.’s almost 30 years of service to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a flag will fly over the United States Capitol today, September 1, 2006. Representative Kenny C. Hulshof (R-MO) arranged for this honor and will present the flag to retired Lt. Col. Seibert at a later date.


In a letter, Rep. Hulshof thanked Lt. Col. Seibert for his service, saying, “Your employment has been meaningful and significant to the state of Missouri ... In each position, you were faithful to the Patrol’s mission to protect and serve. Through the years, you have served beyond the limits and created a distinguished record. We are grateful to have people of your stature and character to look for guidance.”


“This is a great honor and befitting the occasion of Lt. Col. Seibert’s retirement,” said Col. Keathley. “For 30 years, Bill’s professionalism and compassion made Missouri a better, safer place to live. His integrity and character remained steadfast throughout his service to the citizens of this state.”
