EMPHASIS: Colonel James F. Keathley Announces Promotion

Colonel James F. Keathley, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the following promotion effective February 4, 2007:

Corporal Mark A. Wilson was promoted to the rank of sergeant and will remain in his present assignment as an instructor in the Patrol’s Training Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City.

Wilson was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 1996, as a member of the 72nd Recruit Class. Upon completing his training at the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop F, Zone 3, Boone County. On July 1, 2001, he was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop F, Zone 10, Boone County. He transferred to the Training Division as an instructor on June 1, 2005.

Sergeant Wilson was born in Jefferson City, MO. He graduated from Linn R-2 High School in Linn, MO. He served for eight years in the Missouri National Guard, 175th MP BN HQ, which is located in Fulton, MO. Sgt. Wilson and his wife, Paula (Helle), have two children: Kelsey and Dane.
