EMPHASIS: 84th Recruit Class Reports To Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy
Thirty-four people reported to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy on Monday, May 31, 2005, to begin the 27-week training course to become a trooper. The 84th Recruit Class is scheduled to graduate on December 2, 2005. As of July 6, 2005, 23 recruits remain in the class. The average age of the members of the 84th Recruit Class is 25.43 years. Of the recruits, six have some college experience, two have earned associate’s degrees, three have more than 60 hours of college credit, and 11 have bachelor’s degrees. One of the recruits has worked in law enforcement and six have prior military experience.
