EMPHASIS: Patrol Accepting Applications For 88th Recruit Class

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has an honorable history of service and protection in this state, and is looking for qualified candidates to continue this tradition.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, one of the most highly respected law enforcement agencies is now hiring for the position of trooper. Applications will be accepted until January 14, 2008. The Patrol is adding this additional class in 2008, as an opportunity for prospective applicants to become troopers. The 88th Recruit Class is tentatively scheduled to begin July 1, 2008. Special emphasis is being placed on recruiting qualified women and minorities who desire a career in law enforcement.

“The Patrol continues to focus on four strategies: Traffic/Work Zone Enforcement, Homeland Security, Crimes Against Persons and Property, and Department Management,” said Colonel James F. Keathley, superintendent of the Patrol. “These strategies are designed to further our mission of service and protection. Our agency is looking for qualified applicants who are driven to make Missouri a safe place to work and raise a family.”
