EMPHASIS: Brake Safety Awareness Week

Captain George Ridens, Commanding Officer of Troop E in Poplar Bluff, announces the Patrol’s participation in “Brake Safety Awareness Week.” The program is designed as an educational outreach for trucking companies, drivers and mechanics on how to make proper brake adjustments and air brake inspections for commercial motor vehicles.

The program will be conducted from 8am until 11am, August 29 and 30, 2005. The location of the event is the David Ross farm headquarters, located on Route O, just south of Kennett, MO.

Commercial motor vehicles that participate in the program will not be ticketed for violations detected during the educational outreach program, but will be assisted in making necessary brake adjustments. For more information concerning the program, please contact the Troop E Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division at 573-840-9500.
