EMPHASIS: Drug Investigation

Captain Luke Vislay, director of the Division of Drug and Crime Control, announces the results of a short-term narcotics investigation in Laclede County.

As a result of a drug investigation by members of the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group, Lebanon Police Department, and the Laclede County Sheriff’s Department, a search warrant was applied for and served on a residence located at 255 North Monroe, Lebanon. As a result of this search, approximately two pounds and seven ounces of processed marijuana, two firearms, drug paraphernalia, drug distribution items, and over $2,000 in United States currency was seized. Daniel C. Dame, 50, of Lebanon, was arrested as a prior offender for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute. He was transported to the Laclede County Jail where he was formally charged and held on a $50,000 cash bond. Additionally, Dustyn C. Dame, 24, of Stoutland, and Carolyn C. Griffin, 48, of Lebanon, were released on a court summons for misdemeanor drug charges.

The Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group is a multi-jurisdictional drug task force. Its members include the sheriff departments of Gasconade, Laclede, Camden, Dallas, Pulaski, and Crawford counties, as well as the Lebanon and Osage Beach police departments. LANEG is governed by a board of directors and is coordinated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
