EMPHASIS: Special Presentation At General Headquarters

The Missouri State Highway Patrol invites media to attend a special presentation at 9:15 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2005, at the flagpole in front of General Headquarters, Jefferson City. The Missouri Automobile Dealers Association’s Executive Vice President Sam Barbee and franchise new vehicle members Kevin Riley, Riley Chevrolet-Cadillac-Toyota, Jefferson City, and Jeff Jensen, Barrett-Jensen Chevrolet, Fredericktown, will present a check for The MASTERS in the amount of $10,000. Colonel Roger D. Stottlemyre, superintendent of the Patrol, will accept the check on behalf of The MASTERS.

This donation comes to The MASTERS from the various franchised new vehicle automobile dealers around the state of Missouri to show their support for the Patrol. The donation is also designed to honor the four troopers who have been killed in the line of duty in 2005, and to help support the families of the state troopers who have lost their lives.

“On behalf of The MASTERS and the Patrol, I sincerely thank the Missouri Automobile Dealers Association,” said Colonel Stottlemyre. “The purpose of The MASTERS is to reach out to the surviving family members when an officer it killed in the line of duty. Its mission is to help those families and the Patrol through our darkest hours. A donation in support of their mission is greatly appreciated.”

Members of the media are invited to attend this presentation.
