EMPHASIS: Sergeant Carl D. Graham Jr., Troop G, Killed In The Line Of Duty





Colonel Roger D. Stottlemyre, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, regretfully announces the death of Sergeant Carl D. Graham Jr., Troop G. Sergeant Graham was killed in the line of duty on Sunday, March 20, 2005. Troop G Headquarters received a telephone call from a citizen who stated that they had discovered Sergeant Graham’s body at his residence near Van Buren, Missouri, the apparent victim of a homicide. The investigation into the homicide continues. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.





Graham was born in St. Charles County, Missouri. He graduated from Dexter Senior High School in Dexter, Missouri in 1986. In May 1990, he graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, with a bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice. Graham was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1993. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy on June 18, 1993, he was assigned to Troop G, Zone 6, Thayer. In June 1995, he transferred to Zone 1, Wright County. Graham was promoted to corporal and designated assistant zone supervisor of Zone 1 in 1999. In 2002, Graham was promoted to sergeant and designated zone supervisor of Zone 4, Carter and Reynolds counties. He is survived by his four-year-old son.
