EMPHASIS: New Troopers Assigned To Troop E


Captain George E. Ridens, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, is pleased to announce the assignment of five new troopers to Southeast Missouri. The new troopers are members of the 93rd Missouri State Highway Patrol Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy on June 24, 2011. The new troopers will report for duty on July 11, 2011.

Trooper Conrad L. Purnell, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 8, which serves the citizens of New Madrid and Pemiscot counties. Trooper Purnell graduated from Northeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri, and holds a bachelor's of science degree in criminal justice from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. Trooper Purnell is married to Domonique (Ransburg) Purnell and they have one child, Conrad L. Purnell Jr. Trooper Purnell's field training officer will be Corporal Marcel Jones.

Trooper Christopher B. Christian, a native of Dexter, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 8, which serves the citizens of New Madrid and Pemiscot counties. Trooper Christian graduated from Dexter High School, and holds a bachelor's of science degree in management from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. Trooper Christian's field training officer will be Trooper Brooks Pratt.

Trooper Devin W. Foust, a native of Sikeston, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 6, which serves the citizens of Scott, Mississippi and New Madrid counties. Trooper Foust graduated from Jackson High School. Trooper Foust is married to Rachel Foust. Trooper Foust previously served in the Missouri Army National Guard. Trooper Foust's field training officer will be Trooper Steven Spain.

Trooper David P. Rinehart, a native of Sikeston, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 6, which serves the citizens of Scott, Mississippi, and New Madrid counties. Trooper Rinehart graduated from Sikeston High School, and is married to Merrily Rinehart. They have four children; Katelyn Rinehart, Sam Rinehart, Jack Rinehart, and Clay Rinehart. Trooper Rinehart's field training officer will be Trooper Jason McBride.

Trooper Eric M. Reynolds, a native of Mt. Zion, Illinois, has been assigned to Zone 3, which serves the citizens of Wayne County. Trooper Reynolds graduated from Eisenhower High School in Decatur, Illinois, and holds a bachelor's of science degree in business administration from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. Trooper Reynolds is married to Sarah Reynolds and they have two children, Mazie and Gavin. Trooper Reynolds' field training officer will be Trooper Richie Ayers.
