EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Troop E Promotions


Captain George E. Ridens, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, is pleased to announce the promotions of two Troop E officers. The promotions are effective January 1, 2014.

Corporal Randy C. Dye was promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated the zone supervisor of Zone 1, Butler and Ripley counties. Dye was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1996, and upon graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop E, Zone 1. In May 2002, he was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 1. He is a native of Malden, Missouri, and graduated from Malden High School. Before being appointed to the Patrol, he worked for the Kennett (MO) Police Department. He is married to Tammy (Bender) and they have two children, Tiffany and Tyler.

Trooper James A. Wilson was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 2, Butler and Ripley counties. Wilson was appointed to the Patrol on October 20, 2002, and upon graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop E, Zone 3, Wayne County. In 2011, he transferred to Zone 2. He is a native of Doniphan, Missouri, and is a graduate of Doniphan High School, and Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Before being appointed to the Patrol, he worked for the Doniphan (MO) Police Department. He is married to Joanna (Robinson) and they have two children, Paige and Anthony.
