EMPHASIS:
New Trooper Assigned To Troop I
Captain James W. Remillard, commanding officer of Troop I, is pleased to announce a new trooper has been assigned to Troop I. The new trooper was a member of the Patrol’s 105th Recruit Class, which graduated on June 29, 2018. The members of the 105th Recruit Class began recruit training on January 2, 2018, where they subsequently completed 25 weeks of intense training at the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, Missouri. The new troopers will report to their assignments on July 16, 2018. They will work with a field training officer for approximately three months before working independently. The new trooper assigned to Troop I and his assignment is as follows:
Trooper Eric A. Goans, 24, is a native of Lebanon, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 4, serving Pulaski County. His field training officer is Corporal Douglas W. Pfeifer. Trooper Goans is a graduate of Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Missouri. Prior to his appointment to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Trooper Goans resided in Osage Beach, Missouri, where he was employed as a police officer with the Osage Beach Police Department.
