Two New Troopers Assigned To Troop A
Captain Steven V. Wilhoit, commanding officer Troop A, Lee’s Summit, is pleased to announce the assignments of two new troopers to Troop A. The new troopers were members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 117th Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy on June 23, 2023. The new troopers will report for duty, in their respective assignments, on July 10, 2023.
Trooper Mary E. Groner, a native of Jefferson City, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 11, which serves the citizens of Cass County. Trooper Groner graduated from Jefferson City High School in Jefferson City, Missouri. She holds an associate degree in criminology from Missouri State University in West Plains, Missouri. Prior to her appointment to the Patrol, Trooper Groner was a sergeant with the Missouri Army National Guard.
Trooper Timothy W. Heintz, a native of Ridgeway, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 3, which serves the citizens of Clay County. Trooper Heintz was homeschooled and graduated from High School in 2018. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Trooper Heintz was a senior airman with the United States Air Force.
