EMPHASIS: Madison County Deputy Arrested for Stealing

Captain Ronald K. Replogle, Director of the Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC), announces as a result of a criminal investigation conducted by the Troop-E Criminal Investigations Unit, Faron C. Guinn, 42, of Fredericktown, Missouri, was arrested today on four counts of Felony Stealing and one count of Misdemeanor Stealing.

This investigation was begun at the request of the Fredericktown Police Department, and the Madison County Sheriff’s and Prosecuting Attorney’s Offices. These charges stem from allegations of discrepancies found in the Fredericktown Police Departments evidence inventory system. Guinn is currently employed as a Madison County Sheriff’s Deputy, although he was employed as a Fredericktown Police Officer when the alledged incidents took place. Guinn is currently being held on $45,000 bond in the Madison County Jail. This case is being prosecuted by the Missouri Attorney General’s Office.

The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
