EMPHASIS: More Arrests Made in Conjunction with Graham Homicide

Colonel Roger D. Stottlemyre, Superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the arrests of Sherry Chilton Keeney, 52, and Cynthia L. Chilton, 32, both of Van Buren, Missouri, in connection with the homicide of Sergeant Carl D. Graham Jr.

Sherry Chilton Keeney has been arrested for Tampering with Evidence while Cynthia L. Chilton was arrested for Perjury. Both women were arrested at approximately 3 p.m. after the preliminary hearing was concluded of Coree L. Shockley, the wife of Lance Shockley. Keeney is the mother of Coree L. Shockley and Cynthia L. Chilton is Coree’s sister.

The two women are currently being held in the Cater County Jail. The charges for which these individuals were arrested are mere accusation and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
