EMPHASIS: Rape And Sodomy Investigation

On August 21, 2008, Missouri State Highway Patrol investigators arrested Charles “Chuck” Rogers, 60, of Chaffee, Missouri. Rogers was arrested following an investigation into his alleged sexual contact with several juvenile females. The SEMO Network Against Sexual Violence, Missouri Children’s Division, Chaffee Police Department, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control conducted the investigation.

On August 22, 2008, the Scott County prosecuting attorney charged Rogers with eight counts of 1st degree statutory rape, eight counts of 1st degree statutory sodomy, and two counts of 2nd degree statutory sodomy. Rogers is incarcerated in the Scott County Jail in lieu of $150,000 cash bond. Any persons with additional information regarding the investigation are urged to call the Missouri State Highway Patrol at 573-840-9500.

The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
