EMPHASIS: Criminal Investigation totals For 2006

Captain Luke Vislay, Director of the Division of Drug and Crime Control, announces the 2006 criminal investigation enforcement numbers for the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control.

During 2006, 120 employees were assigned to the Division of Drug and Crime Control, 90 of whom are law enforcement officers called upon to conduct a wide range of criminal investigations across the state. The division assists and supports local, county, and federal agencies in the investigation of crimes and is committed to providing effective and professional assistance. The 30 civilian employees are utilized in investigations and support related roles.

The 2006 investigative totals are separated into the following categories:

The Division of Drug and Crime Control was established in 1983, and operates throughout the state Missouri under the guidelines set forth in Chapter 43 of the Revised Missouri Statutes. The field offices are located at each troop headquarters of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
