EMPHASIS: Troop E Assigns Four New Troopers





Captain George Ridens, Commanding Officer of Troop E, is pleased to announce the recent graduation of the Patrol’s 83rd Recruit Class and the assignment of four new troopers to the area. The troopers completed 27-weeks of intense training at the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, Missouri on May 7, 2005, and will be assigned to a field-training officer for approximately three months before working independently. The patrolmen and their assignments are as follows:



Trooper Ricky L. Vannada, 26, a native of Piggott, Arkansas and Poplar Bluff, Missouri, was assigned to Zone 10, serving Dunklin and New Madrid counties. Vannada graduated from Piggott High School in Piggott, Arkansas and is married with two children.



Trooper Dale B. Pounds, 40, a native of Houston, Missouri, was assigned to Zone 8, New Madrid and Pemiscot Counties. Pounds graduated from Houston High School in Houston, Missouri, and was previously employed as a Texas County deputy sheriff.



Trooper Nogi H. McDaniel, 25, a native of Steele, Missouri, was assigned to Zone 8, serving New Madrid and Pemiscot counties. McDaniel graduated from South Pemiscot High School in Steele, Missouri and attended Mississippi County Community College in Blytheville, Arkansas where he earned an applied science degree in Criminal Justice in 2002. Trooper McDaniel is married with one child.



Trooper John A. Lacey, 25, a native of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, was assigned to Zone 11, Stoddard County. Lacey graduated from Jackson High School and was previously employed as a Jackson police officer.
