EMPHASIS:
Sergeant Rocky L. Seiner Retires
Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces that effective March 1, 2017, Sergeant Rocky L. Seiner will retire with over 33 years of dedicated service.
Seiner was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1983, as a member of the 55th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol Academy, he was assigned to Troop G, Howell, Oregon and Ozark counties, and was stationed in West Plains, Missouri. In August 1990, he was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 2, Texas County, and was stationed in Houston, Missouri. In July 1992, he was promoted to sergeant and designated the zone commander of Zone 2. In October 1999, he transferred to Troop B. During his tenure in the Troop B area he was assigned to the Mark Twain Casino in LaGrange, Missouri, and on March 2008 was designated the zone commander of Zone 1, Macon and Shelby counties. It is from this assignment that Seiner retires. During his career, Seiner was assigned to numerous notable assignments including the John Brown manhunt, Glenn Paul Sweet manhunt, several Missouri State Fair details and Missouri inaugurations, as well as Ferguson, Missouri.
Sergeant Seiner is a native of Bolivar, Missouri, and graduated from Bolivar High School in May 1979. He is married to Patsy (Wildhaber) and they have two grown children: Robert Seiner and Kallie Harlow, both of Macon, Missouri. He and his wife also have seven grandchildren.
