Troop H Offers Boat Safety Inspection Station
Captain James E. McDonald, commanding officer Troop H announces Troop H marine enforcement troopers will offer a boat safety inspection station. The inspections will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on May 18, 2019, at Harrison County Lake, West 222nd Street, west of Missouri Route W, Harrison County, Missouri. Captain McDonald wants to encourage boaters to utilize this opportunity to ensure they have all necessary safety equipment needed for this boating season. This is not an enforcement operation and no citations will be issued, rather this is a public service to promote safety on Missouri’s waterways. This inspection is in conjunction with the 2019 National Safe Boating Week which runs May 18 to May 24.
Watercraft operators must consider the effect their actions have on others: Share the waterway and use common sense, good judgment, and courtesy to ensure the safety of all. Life jackets save lives. Wear It!!
