EMPHASIS: Major Lafayette E. “Gene” Lacy Selected To Participate In Leadership Missouri

Colonel James F. Keathley, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol commends Major Lafayette E. “Gene” Lacy, who joins an elite group of 35 Missouri business and state leaders chosen to participate in Leadership Missouri. The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry sponsors this seven-month leadership enhancement program.

Leadership Missouri, founded in 1990, is an education program designed to help business, government, and civic leaders better understand the diverse issues facing Missouri’s employers, communities, and government. Over the course of seven months, beginning in April and ending in October, participants meet each month in a different Missouri city and focus on specific challenges facing that community and our state.

Major Lacy is a 30-year veteran of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He is the commander of the Support Services Bureau, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, MO.

“I congratulate Major Lacy on being selected to take part in Leadership Missouri,” said Col. Keathley. “He is a fine example of the type of dedicated, civic minded people employed by the Patrol. Leadership Missouri is a great opportunity.”
