Troop C Announces Four Promotions
Captain Ryan A. Burckhardt, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces four promotions
effective July 1, 2022.
Trooper Joseph V. BonDurant has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 4, serving the citizens of South St. Louis County. BonDurant was appointed to the Patrol on January 3, 2017, as a member of the 104th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, he was assigned to Zone 2, serving the citizens of North St. Louis County.
Corporal BonDurant was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Parkway North High School, in 2011. He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal Justice from Missouri State University, in Springfield, Missouri, in 2015.
Trooper Justin E. Lacy has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 2, serving the citizens of North St. Louis County. Lacy was appointed to the Patrol in January 2013, as a member of the 96th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, he was assigned to Zone 8, serving the citizens of St. Charles County.
Corporal Lacy was born in Kirkwood, Missouri. He graduated from Jefferson City High School, in Jefferson City, Missouri, in 1999. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Northwest Missouri State University, in Maryville, Missouri, in 2004.
Trooper Travis N. Ziegler has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 9, serving the citizens of St. Charles County. Ziegler was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 2014, as a member of the 99th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, he was assigned to Zone 8, serving the citizens of St. Charles County.
Corporal Ziegler was born in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Plainfield South High School, in Plainfield, Illinois, in 2007. He earned a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement and justice administration from Western Illinois University, in Macomb, Illinois, in 2014.
Trooper Blake G. Groves has been promoted to the rank of corporal, and will remain in his present position as a marine operations trooper in Troop C. Groves was appointed to the Patrol on January 3, 2017, as a member of the 104th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, he was assigned to Zone 2, serving the citizens in North St. Louis County.
Corporal Groves was born in Springfield, Illinois. He graduated from Roxanna High School, in Roxanna, Illinois, in 2012. He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, in Edwardsville, Illinois, in 2015.
