Troop D Announces Results Of Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) SAFETE Operation
Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, announces the results of a Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (
MCSAP
) SAFETE hazardous moving operation in Greene County on April 14, 2017. Troopers stopped 28 commercial vehicles and eight non-commercial motor vehicles. Additionally, troopers conducted 27 commercial vehicle inspections which resulted in six vehicles and four drivers being placed out-of-service. The following is a list of enforcement contacts made during the operation:
Driver License Violation -- 1
Seat Belt Offenses -- 5
Non-Moving Arrests -- 3
Troopers also issued 82 warnings for various other offenses during this operation.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
