EMPHASIS: Van Buren Man Arrested In Connection To Leaving The Scene Fatality Accident
Captain B. E. Chadwick, Commanding Officer, Troop G, Willow Springs, announces that Lance Shockley, age 28, of Van Buren, Missouri, was arrested today in Malden in reference to a fatality leaving the scene accident which occurred in Carter County on November 26, 2004. Slain Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant, Carl Dewayne Graham Jr., initially investigated the accident.
While investigating the homicide of Sergeant Graham additional information was developed concerning the fatal accident which led to Shockley’s arrest. Shockley is considered a person of interest in the homicide of Sergeant Graham.
The reward offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the death of Sergeant Graham is $10,000.
The charges against Shockley are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose task is to determine guilt or innocence.
